Bluebird Backcountry is an inbounds backcountry ski area outside of Kremmling, Colorado, and is a beautiful camping spot. Bluebird Backcountry has zero chairlifts. Instead, skiers and snowboarders make their way uphill under their own power following pre-set skin tracks. Instructors and guides are on hand for backcountry and avalanche education. And then there’s the fun part: ripping skins and skiing or riding back to the base.

Camping costs just $25 per vehicle per night. Open Thursday – Sunday nights. Vanlifer’s must have a ski pass at the mountain to access the camping. No facilities besides a Port-A-John and first tracks.

Aunt Sara’s River Dance RV Resort and Campground
